The Novo Astro project is Crusader’s second project within the Alta Floresta gold belt, 25km south east of the Juruena project.
A 5km wide circular soil anomaly has been identified with rock chip samples returning significant gold indicators, including 13 samples at over 10 g/t, and one sample at 263.8 g/t. The project had previously been mined for its high grade alluvial gold for over 40 years.
The scale of the Novo Astro soil anomaly (+15km2) indicates the system is well developed and large. Intrusion-relation gold systems form at depth and so are able to be preserved in older terrains.
Crusader’s exploration team will target initial drilling over Novo Astro following a full structural review over the project which is planned for the first half of 2018.
The Novo Astro Gold project is located in the state of Mato Grosso on the southern fringe of the Amazon basin in central Brazil. The project is located 25km south east of the Juruena project.
