Mr Mike Schmulian
Chief Operating Officer
Mr Schmulian has over 40 years experience in mining and exploration around the world with over 15 years based in Brazil and South America.
Mr Schmulian, until recently an Executive Director of ASX listed Mundo Minerals Ltd, managed the development of Mundo’s Engenho gold project. The Engenho mine is close to Belo Horizonte, where Crusader’s Posse Iron Project is located and as a result many of the experiences, government agencies and consultants in the local industry are familiar to Mr Schmulian.
Mr Schmulian brings a wealth of experience and contacts to Crusader and his innovation and understanding of the Brazilian mining legislation and culture will be a valuable addition to Crusader as it moves towards becoming a producer.
Mr Schmulian is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (F.Aus.IMM) and a former vice-president of ADIMB, the Brazilian Agency for Technological Development of the Mining Industry.
Mr Andrew Beigel

Mr Beigel has more than fifteen years corporate experience across a range of industries and has held executive positions with other ASX listed companies in the resources sector. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University and is a member of CPA Australia.
Aidan Platel
Exploration Manager
Mr Platel is a geologist with more than 10 years experience in the exploration for and development of gold and base metals. Formerly in Brazil with ASX listed Mirabella nickel, he is fluent in Portuguese and lives in João Pessoa.
Mr Valério Fernandes Jardim de Oliveira
Borborema Project Geology Manager
Valério is a Brazilian exploration geologist with over 18 years experience. He has worked throughout Brazil exploring in both brown field and green field environments for a range of commodities including gold, copper, nickel, base metals, and PGEs. Valério has worked for a number of foreign mining companies and has an excellent understanding of the standard techniques of international explorers and developers. Valério coordinates the on-site geology team, undertakes near-mine exploration and continues to define and expand the Mineral Resources of the Borborema Gold Project.
Dr Christopher Stephens
Geological Consultant
Dr Stephens has 30 years experience in exploration and mining with exposure to a wide range of commodities. He has worked as an independent consultant with the international consulting group RSG Global Pty Ltd (now Coffey Mining) and more recently as Chief Geologist and acting CEO of ASX listed Abra Mining Limited. He has a Bachelor of Science (Honours), a PhD from the University of Queensland and is a member of AusIMM. Dr Stephens is Principal of CJS Consulting Pty Ltd and a Director of Kings Park Capital Pty Ltd. He provides support to the Managing Director in evaluating, developing and reporting on Crusader’s project portfolio.
Mr John Foreman
Geological Consultant
Mr Forman graduated as a geologist from the University of Brazil in 1961 and followed with a M.Sc.degree in geology from Stanford University in California in 1967. He has since held important roles in academia including being a professor of Economic Geology and Energy Resources at the Federal university of Rio de Janeiro.
Mr Forman has also been involved in several governmental organisations which controlled various strategic areas of Brazil’s energy industry, including appointments as President of the Brazilian petroleum agency and President and CEO of the Brazilian Nuclear Authority.
Mr Ronisdalber da Silva Braganca
Administrative and Financial Manager
Mr Bragança is a graduate in Business Management of Fundação Getulio Vargas, one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil. Mr Bragança also holds postgraduates in business management, project management and production engineering. In addition, Ronisdalber has completed a MBA in management from the University of OHIO. He has over 20 year’s management, corporate advisory and finance experience working for several listed and unlisted public companies. Mr Bragança is also a senior corporate finance lecturer and consultant at Fundação Getulio Vargas.
Mr Mauro Calado
Posse Project Manager
Mr Calado graduated as a mining engineer from the University of Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, and followed with a MBA in business management. In addition, Mr Calado holds a postgraduate qualification in systems analysis. He has vast experience working with mineral processing, project development and implementation and installation of mining plants. He is also experienced with operational coordination and project management, as well as audit and analysis of accidents.
