David has held executive and non-executive roles in a number of Australian and international companies. He founded Savage Resources Limited in 1985. Savage’s portfolio included the Ernest Henry copper gold mine in North West Queensland, the Liddell coal mine in the Hunter Valley in NSW and zinc mining and smelting operations in the United States. He founded and was executive Chairman of PowerTel Limited until 1998. David is currently a director of ASX listed companies Eastern Star Gas Limited, Hillgrove Resources Limited and Intermet Resources Limited. He is a barrister (non-practising) of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Mr Robert Smakman

Rob is an honours graduate of Monash University and has had a successful international career (Australia, Africa, South America and Europe) as a geologist and manager over the past 16 years. Robs is experienced in gold, silver, copper, uranium, tin and iron. Mineral discoveries he has been associated with include:

The Southern Star gold deposit near Southern Cross in Western Australia- from the discovery hole to completion of the bankable feasibility study.

The Dikulushi Copper/Silver deposit for Anvil Mining NL (DRC Africa). Rob was the first person on site and managed the drill-out of the deposit to 1.55mt @ 8.9% copper and 9.5oz silver for feasibility study and mining. The project is now being successfully mined as the highest grade Copper deposit in the world.

The Certej Gold deposit in Romania for the TSX listed European Goldfields Ltd. Project management from the commencement to a resource of 2.6m oz gold and 13m oz silver.

Rob has held other executive and non-executive management roles for public companies, however is now based exclusively in Brazil for Crusader.

Mr Murray Hodges

Mr Hodges was involved for 15 years in his early working life exclusively in the mineral exploration industry, initially working as an exploration geologist for major companies, then in a consultancy capacity. His primary experience is in base metal and gold exploration.

For the next 20 years Mr Hodges pursued a mixture of personal mining interests and general business interests. His personal mining interests primarily involved acquiring prospective tenements for evaluation purposes and, depending on success of exploration results, farming out or vending the tenements to mining companies. His general business interests are mainly in the fuel distribution industry, as a major beneficial shareholder of Link Energy Pty Ltd, a company with an annual turnover of over $100 million. He is also a founding director of the Silver Swan Group.

Mr Paul Stephen

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce for the University of Western Australia. He has more than 17 years experience in the Financial Services Industry, starting as a portfolio manager at Perpetual Trustees in 1992 and working subsequently as private client advisor with Porter Western and Macquarie Bank.  Paul was a significant shareholder and Senior Client Advisor at Montagu Stockbrokers prior to their merger with Paterson Securities Ltd.

Paul is a non-executive director of Integrated Fuel Solutions Pty Ltd, Kings Park Capital and Associate Director at Patersons Securities.

Mr Justin Evans

Mr Evans currently holds the position of Managing Director of Sigma Companies Group, manufacturing chemists and suppliers, a wholly Western Australian owned company. Prior to joining Sigma Companies Group in 1999 Justin worked in stockbroking for 12 years. He has a wide range of experience in client financial advice and corporate capital raisings. He was a founding share holder of Montagu Stockbrokers Pty Ltd. He no longer has any interest in Montagu Stockbrokers Pty Ltd.
